Sports is at the heart of our College. Our students embrace a wide range of physical activities that build teamwork, resilience, leadership, and confidence, while encouraging a healthy, active lifestyle in a supportive and structured environment.
Our students proudly represent the College in the Townsville District Junior Rugby League, playing for the Ingham Crushers, where they develop skills, sportsmanship, and a love of the game. They also compete in local basketball and netball competitions, gaining experience in teamwork, strategy, and friendly competition.
Beyond team sports, students excel in lifesaving and athletics, achieving at regional, state, and national levels. The College provides tailored support, including coaching, training programs, and access to facilities, so students can pursue excellence while balancing their academic and boarding commitments.
Sport at St Teresa’s goes beyond competition. It’s a chance to form lifelong friendships, develop leadership skills, and experience the pride of representing the College and their community. Whether it’s on the field, in the pool, on the court, or at athletics events, every student is encouraged to challenge themselves, celebrate their achievements, and thrive in a culture of participation, effort, and excellence.
With a strong tradition of sporting success and participation, St Teresa’s continues to nurture well-rounded young men who are confident, connected, and capable—both in sport and in life.
