At St Teresa’s College, the health, wellbeing, and safety of every student are a priority. Our on-site Medical Centre provides professional, student-centred healthcare in a safe and supportive environment, helping students remain healthy and engaged in all aspects of College life.

The Medical Centre is led by a dedicated Registered Nurse who is available Monday to Friday, 8am-4pm.  After hours, the Registered Nurse remains available to support boarding staff, all of whom hold current First Aid qualifications, ensuring students have access to timely care and support when needed.

The College works closely with Clements Medical and local pharmacies to provide seamless access to healthcare services and medications. A visiting General Practitioner conducts fortnightly clinics at the College, while the Medical Centre also coordinates specialist referrals and appointments and works with a range of local allied health providers.

Services include:

  • 715 Health Assessments
  • dental and vision screening programs
  • immunisation support
  • medication management
  • health education
  • preventative health initiatives
  • treatment for illness and injury.

Students with ongoing health conditions receive individualised care and monitoring to support their wellbeing and participation in College life.

Recognising that wellbeing extends beyond physical health, the Medical Centre works collaboratively with our college Guidance Counsellors, the Wellbeing Team, boarding staff, families, and external healthcare providers to deliver holistic care that supports students’ physical, emotional, social, and mental wellbeing.

Through a proactive and compassionate approach to healthcare, the Medical Centre helps ensure every student feels supported, cared for, and empowered to thrive both at school and in the boarding community.
