A Place to Belong, A Place to Thrive
At St Teresa's College, boarding is not just part of the experience - it is the experience.
It is where every student lives, learns, and grows together in a supportive, structured environment. Our students develop independence, resilience, and the skills to thrive both academically and personally during their time at the College.
Set on a 100-acre campus in the Herbert Valley, 40 km west of Ingham, St Teresa’s offers spacious accommodation, study areas, recreation facilities, and dining spaces. This is a home where students feel safe, supported, and connected—to each other, their culture, and their community. The College’s boarding program combines comfort with opportunity, providing the structure and guidance young men need to flourish.
For over 95 years, St Teresa’s has specialised in boarding education for First Nations students from across Australia. Our deep experience means we understand the unique needs, aspirations, and cultural strengths of our students. Boarding life at St Teresa’s is designed to nurture identity, belonging, and pride, while preparing boys for life beyond the College.
Our dedicated staff create a supportive, family-like environment. All staff hold “Working with Children” clearances and receive ongoing training in contemporary residential care and student wellbeing. Through mentoring, guidance, and supervision, they ensure every student is safe, cared for, and encouraged to reach their full potential.
