St Teresa’s College, Abergowrie, established in 1933, is an all-boys Catholic secondary boarding school for Years 7 to 12, located in the Herbert River Valley on Warrgamay land in North Queensland. We are a part of the Edmund Rice Education Australia Colleges Ltd community, and our ethos and values are shaped by the Touchstones of Liberating Education, Gospel Spirituality, Inclusive Community, and Justice and Solidarity.
Our College brings together young men from across Australia, particularly from regional, remote and Indigenous communities. This diversity, combined with our strong boarding culture and rural setting, fosters a deep sense of belonging and connection, where each student is known, valued and supported.
We are committed to educating and forming young men in a supportive, faith-filled environment, nurturing their growth as capable learners who are grounded in values, confident in their identity, and prepared for life beyond school. Our vision is for every student to strive and flourish across the spiritual, academic, social, personal, cultural and sporting dimensions of life, developing character, identity, purpose and a commitment to community.
